Two-Day Writing Workshop with Mark von Schlegell
October 30 & 31, 2025
Building New Worlds How can a world create a story—and a story create a world? In this two-day Science Fiction & Fantasy writing workshop, you’ll discover and design your own new universe, while exploring how narratives, images, and ideas take shape in the imagination. Guided by author and theorist Mark von Schlegell, you’ll work alongside fellow makers to generate and develop writing supporting whatever artistic genre you practice, literary, visual and beyond.

Author of the sf novels Venusia, Mercury Station, and Sundogz, and numerous stories, essays, scripts and comics, he has taught writing and science fiction at NYU, CalArts, and the Städelschule Frankfurt.
